Volunteer opportunities exist in all areas. Membership is open to any person interested in giving back to the Houston community.

Different types of membership include:

Active - Members work monthly shifts in the Thrift Shop, work on one philanthropic program and serve on a committee.

Professional - Members tailor their volunteer hours to meet their personal schedules and interests.

Corporate - Volunteer through an organization's Corporate Outreach Program. Employees donate their time to one of Assistance League of Houston's philanthropic programs during office hours or on special projects.

Partners of Assistance League (PALS) - This auxiliary membership is open to spouses or partners of Assistance League of Houston members. Partners of Assistance League members may not vote or hold office, but may participate in all philanthropic programs and fundraising activities of the chapter. There are no minimum service-hour requirements for PALS, but their hours are counted toward the total community service- hours contributed by Assistance League volunteers.

Assisteens® is a group of high school students in grades 9-12 who are eager to contribute to their community. Assisteens develop leadership skills, team- building skills, and social awareness through philanthropic programs. More about Assisteens...
